The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for Part Time Alumni Relations Social Media Manager and Photographer on the Dahlonega campus. This position is responsible for social media and photography for the Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.

  • Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) as directed by supervisor.
  • Increase department awareness among students and alumni through branding and marketing efforts using tools and resources available.
  • Attend events and various meetings hosted by the Alumni Association to gather valuable social media content.
  • Take photos at various functions and events for marketing and communications use: social media, website, emails, etc.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of and creative proficiency with social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. 
  • Knowledge of photography and can independently shoot, edit, and produce content. 
  • This person should have a knowledge of marketing and branding, especially with regards to what appeals to younger alumni.
  • Bachelor's degree required. 
  • Must have experience with social media platforms for marketing and communication purposes, as well as experience as a professional photographer.
  • Degree in art, photography, art marketing, or digital advertising preferred.

Minimum Starting Salary: $21.20 per hour
