Job Description:

Clark University's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program offers a dynamic host of experiential learning courses, which support the development, implementation, and growth of small businesses and social ventures. Students test assumptions and apply practice through experiential learning. Students continue on with supporting classes to build their entrepreneurial endeavor as they earn a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. As a member of the E&I program, the candidate must teach experientially and understand that to learn entrepreneurship is to do entrepreneurship. 


Position:  The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program is seeking a part-time instructor for the fall semester 2024 to teach the following in-person entrepreneurship undergraduate level course:

Course title: ENT115 Entrepreneurship

Course description:

Successful entrepreneurship begins with a vision. Like an artist, the entrepreneur must be able to translate creative vision into something tangible and real. This course focuses on the foundations of entrepreneurship and is appropriate for students from any major. It is designed to introduce students to the entrepreneurial process by actually doing. This is a course includes experiential entrepreneurship-related activities where students work individually to test ideas and practice entrepreneurship through regular engagement with the Clark community. The course will also include self-assessment activities designed to help students assess their own entrepreneurial potential. This course is the prerequisite for many ENT elective courses.


Requirements:

Required Background:  Master's degree, preferably focused in entrepreneurship or a related field. Previous higher education teaching experience in this field is also required.

Preferred Experience: Teaching experiential learning courses; mentoring the development of small businesses; and entrepreneurship.
