Job Description

Friends University is seeking to fill a part-time Academic Resource Center (ARC) Operations Assistant position in Wichita Kansas. This position is responsible for implementing the processes and practices of the ARC to provide quality academic support to the students. Duties will include providing tutoring to Friends students, recruit, supervise, and manage tutors, organize study session, proctor make up exam requests. Work hours are 15 - 20 hours per week.

Skills & Requirements

Experience in composition and tutoring practices (informal or professional tutoring), as well as academic resource center operations (or other type of service center operations).

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree a plus. Expertise in one of a range of areas such as history, social science, education, advanced math, physics, engineering, etc.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication, and public speaking skills are necessary.  Excellent computer and technology skills are necessary. Previous supervisory and training skills are preferred.
