Job Description:
Budget Title: Staff Assistant (SL-2)
Salary: $50,000 (full-time, temporary, one year)
The Parking Operations Manager provides supervisory direction for the parking office staff and field staff employees on a year-round basis. This position also coordinates fulltime and part-time field staff for the office and events.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborates with various University departments to coordinate parking needs on campus.
- Hires, trains, and supervises permanent and temporary office and event staff.
- Serves as a liaison between management and field staff
- Monitors day-to-day operations of both the office and field staff to ensure proper parking policies and procedures are followed
- Ensures cash and cash receipt collections and equipment procedures and policies are followed
- Makes changes to schedules to provide adequate parking and event related staffing coverage and, if necessary, maintains a daily, weekly and events on-call staff
- Responds to questions and complaints from students, faculty, staff, and visitors
- Assists in the coordination of equipment and supply purchases
Requirements:
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Associates degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Operational experience working in parking or transportation
- Experience working on a residential college campus preferred
- Position will work regular daytime hours, however, the successful candidate must be able to work some nights and weekends
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work long days, much of the time standing, for special events and to lift up to 30 pounds
