About the Position:
Parking and Transportation Services provides access to the campus through alternative commute options and parking programs that mitigate traffic congestion and improve air quality through the reduction of mobile source emissions. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Parking Event Services Analyst (Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Non-Exempt). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.
The Parking Event Services Analyst oversees the event program. Promptly responds to requests for parking resources for on-campus events; appropriately and collaboratively coordinates department resources; and provides accurate and timely estimates and invoices for resources utilized. Determines the appropriate parking facility for each event request by working with the customer to reserve the appropriate parking location to prioritize student success and student parking needs during peak days and times while also adhering to collective bargaining agreement provisions. The Parking Event Services Analyst uses sound judgment to assess the need for involvement or approval of other campus entities and consults and collaborates with key campus stakeholders, including but not limited to Risk Management and Events and Facilities Use.
The Parking Event Services Analyst researches, analyzes, provides recommendations, and drafts Standard Operating Procedures and related forms and materials for campus events. Designs, submits approved orders for and maintains inventory of parking event directional signage and equipment. Assigns student assistants for parking signage and equipment placement, removal, and storage. Works with the Field Operations Lead to arrange comprehensive traffic control for large-scale events. Provides succinct, accurate, and detailed information for approved events in Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, and T2 Flex and continuously updates the Parking and Transportation Services events calendar. Maintains the parking event webpage and ensures optimal user interface and functionality. Prepares event estimates for the customer, reconciles event parking services, completes monthly statistic and service reports, ensures department recharges are complete and accurate, and resolves any payment discrepancies.
The Parking Event Services Analyst is responsible for all aspects of hiring, training, and supervising parking event student assistants and accurately reconciling student time worked. Actively supports a team environment and a culture of respect that is inclusive of the diverse perspectives, experiences, and identities of CSUF students, faculty, staff, and guests. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs. Working knowledge of the general practices, program or administrative specialty. Basic knowledge of and the ability to apply fundamental concepts. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit or administrative specialty. Knowledge of and the ability to apply basic methods and procedures used for research and statistical analysis. Ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques. Ability to make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment, handle multiple priorities, and organize and plan work assignments. Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Detailed knowledge of CSU Fullertons policies and procedures governing parking rules and regulations and collective bargaining agreements.
