Job Overview

Provides leadership and guidance to Parking Attendants while carrying out the duties of a Parking Attendant.

 


Essential Functions
  • Instruct Parking Attendants in on-the-job duties as directed by the Parking Facility Superintendant and Assistant Director of Special Events and Operations.
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Special Events and Operations with staff and facility supervision.
  • Ability to respond with patience in difficult interactions with faculty, staff, students and visitors.
  • Address customer service issues related to Parking Operations and make quick decisions to resolve the situation.
  • Complete accurate paperwork and cash handling duties.
  • Transports department employees, parking lot equipment and mail to various departments on campus.
  • Assists in scheduling breaks and vacation for Parking Attendants and students.
  • Assists in the training and development of Parking Attendants.
  • Sets up and removes signage, cones, and configure parking lots for small events as instructed.
  • Performs the duties of a Parking Attendant.
  • Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from other supervisors and administration.

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license required
  • Must have previous parking attendant experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude and ability to read warning signs.
