Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
The Digital Assistant will work closely with the Web Editor and the Digital Marketing Manager, assisting with creating and publishing digital content on both The Panther’s website and social media accounts.
Responsibilities
Create and Curate Content:
  • Develop original content, including text, images, and videos.
  • Collaborate with the editorial and digital teams to promote articles and multimedia content.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings throughout the semester.

Manage Social Media Accounts:
  • Assist with daily management of social media accounts, including Facebook, X, Instagram, etc.
  • Schedule and publish posts, ensuring consistent and strategic posting.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions.

Maintain and Update Website:
  • Regularly update the website with articles, multimedia content, and features.
  • Ensure the website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and consistently branded.
Required Qualifications
  • Background in journalism.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience with The Panther or a comparable publication.
