Painter II - Facilities Services 

MR04 – Starting rate depending on experience

Under general supervision, performs and coordinates painting activities such as prepares and repairs interior and exterior buildings, walls, ceilings and other components and paints them.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

·       Paint different surfaces (interior and exterior)

·       Prepare surfaces for painting; scraping, sanding, cleaning, patching and repairing walls (Drywall and plaster)

·       Proficient in operating pneumatic equipment such as paint sprayers, power washers and sandblasters

·       Provides technical assistance and guidance to Painter I and craft Aides

·       Inspects projects in progress and complete under the direction of the supervisor, and makes

·       necessary touch ups

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum/Required Qualifications (include education, experience, skills and abilities, licenses and certifications):

·       High School diploma or GED

·       4+ years of experience or trade school. (experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis)

·       Must have the skills for spray equipment, sandblasting and pressure washing

·       Knowledge of equipment repair and materials

·       The ability to assist with training Painter I
