Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Provides daily direction to the Paint shop staff based out of Building Maintenance in addition to their current responsibilities.
  •  Reviews and approves time sheets of the team.
  • Troubleshoots and reports to supervisor as appropriate.
  • Sets schedules, establishes priorities, trains, and monitors performance of craft work staff and may participate in recruiting, hiring, and selection.

General Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day guidance and serves in a lead capacity to craft work staff while also performing the responsibilities of the role of craft foreman supervisor.
  • Sets schedules, establishes priorities, trains, and monitors performance of craft work staff.
  • Ensures adequate staffing and effective scheduling; may participate in recruiting, hiring, and selection.
  • Provides training to assigned staff to improve efficiency; researches and identifies development opportunities for assigned staff.
  • Tracks issues and concerns among craft work staff; keeps next-level leader(s) informed of trends as well as significant problems. 

EDUCATION

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

  • 4 years in related field

This role regularly requires the ability to effectively communicate. This role frequently requires the ability to handle equipment. This role frequently requires the ability to remain stationary and ascend/descend ladders/stairs. This role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds. The role requires the ability to detect items in close proximity as well as far away; discern between colors; detect objects in peripheral space of self; discern items in detail; and to have good depth perception. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$53,913.6 annually
