Position Highlights The Instructional Assistant II will assist in planning, developing, coordinating and implementing educational and community outreach programs of the La Paz County Cooperative Extension Office during the summer months. They will assist the program leads in the recruitment of participants for these programs and ensure that every youth is informed and given the chance to participate. They will also assist in gathering feedback and evalution from the participants and/or parents/guardians of the participants to assess impact of these programs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the recruitment and implementation of the summer youth programs for the Extension Office. Organize Recruitment Activities, send out flyers and post flyers on social media. Work with volunteers and the youth participants in the preparation of activities, the facilities and venue of the events.
  • Develop games and ice breakers for the events to keep participants interests and attention in the activities. Facilitate games and ice breakers during the events.
  • Gather feedback and evaluation from participants and/or parents/guardians to assess impact and help improve program offering.
  • Oversee youth participants during the events and assist in maintaining order. 
  • Perform other miscellaneous activities as needed. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
