Come join our team in the Koman Outpatient Pavilion where we have an 8,000 square ft. state of the art facility, equipped with indoor and outdoor treatment areas, assistive technology including an AlterG, Noraxan Treadmill and force plate. This position is responsible for Physical Therapy patient service delivery including evaluation and treatment of routine and complex patients, with orthopedic/sports diagnoses. Completes required documentation and communicates patient information across the continuum of care. Participates in training and program development and represents the department to the medical and general community. Demonstrates competence in the UC San Diego Health core values.

This is a per diem position that will also provide back up coverage between multiple Rehab Locations. There is potential to work both weekdays and weekends depending on candidate availability.

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association, eligibility for registration by the National Registry of the American Physical Therapy Association.

  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Physical Therapist (PT) license issued by the state of California.

  • Prior experience in a hospital setting.

  • One to three (1 - 3) years of experience as a licensed PT in a hospital setting.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • May flex and float between sites as needed.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $123,109 - $136,513 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $58.96 - $65.38

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
