Job Description:

Under general supervision, this position housed within the Department of Pediatrics will build and maintain SharePoint sites, including providing assistance with website design and maintenance, as well as maintain department social media accounts. Responsible for SharePoint site building, maintenance, troubleshooting, and auditing.  Creating and maintaining digital displays (Xibo).  

Some of the duties include:

  • Maintain the Department of Pediatric inventory system utilizing .php language.
  • Maintains/updates department website/sub-sites and social media accounts in a backup compacity. Will work within the existing UF Health web standards to manage content using approved content management platforms and in accordance with UF Health web content strategy to ensure appropriate and engaging content is published. Will ensure content adheres to accessibility guidelines. Will work collaboratively with UF Health Web Services team and other members of UF Health Communications to ensure websites follow UF Health best practices.
  • Contributes as a member of a design team to identify user requirements, navigation, and project scope. Develops design concepts for implementation. Creates web-ready art using photography and computer graphics. 
  • Researches emerging web-based technologies. Keeps current on education concerning new software, etc. needed to perform job duties.
Expected Salary:

$17 - $20/hr

Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree and two years of appropriate experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  •  Must know basic web design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, WordPress, HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.
  • Language .Net and PHP.  Sharepoint experienced preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred.
  • This position will be a very collaborative one and will involve meeting with faculty and staff to coordinate website development and projects. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and to work collaboratively and collegiality with a diverse team in an energetic, fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a background in .net and .php.
