Job Summary


The OPS Student Athlete Development Assistant will assist the department in the planning, organizing, and oversight of operations of the student-athlete development area.

Job Description

  • Maintain day to day operations within the student-athlete development area.                        
  • Ensures all safety practices are followed.
  • Assists in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure effective operations.               
  • Assists in the organization and purchasing for the student-athlete development area.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned
  • Research, organize, plan, promote and evaluate educational and informational workshops and events covering topics such as career services, leadership and personal development.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines.
  • Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned and timely decisions.
  • Ability to effectively manage the work of others by providing information, guidance and motivation.
