Description of Work
The Operations Specialist of the Center for Executive and Professional Development (CEPD) is responsible for operational excellence and works closely with the Executive Director. This position will assist with the management of the unit’s daily administrative and operational requirements, including customer relationship database management, website maintenance, and simple financial tasks (invoice payments, P-Card responsibilities, contract circulation). Responsibilities also include assistance with marketing/communication plans, event planning and logistics for assigned events. The position will require travel during November and the first half of December and the ability to work irregular and remote hours that may include evenings and weekends.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited College. A minimum of two years of progressive related experience. Two years’ experience with Microsoft Office and professional communications. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with mid to senior-level executive clients. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or strong academic achievement (GPA greater than 3.4). Experience in event planning, recruitment, or sales in a business and/or higher education environment desirable. Knowledge of digital, print and relationship-based marketing strategies preferred.
