Job Purpose
​Serving as a member of the Career and Professional Development (CPD) team the Operations & Research Specialist supports the AVP with budgeting and financial management, technology support, data management and reporting, and marketing to ensure that the mission of the office and the University are achieved.
The budgeted annual salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position is $45,077 – $53,032  annually. The internal full salary range is $45,077 – $60,987.

  • ​Plan and arrange the distribution and collection of post-graduate outcomes information, via the annual First Destination Survey.
  • Provide statistical analysis and assessment of post-graduate outcomes data.
  • Maintain and update all post-graduate outcomes records.
  • Generate customized and relevant reports for various campus departments and other interested parties, as requested​.

  • Implement, track and review daily purchases through purchase requisitions, purchase card transactions, and Banner.
  • Create regular budget status reports and present to leadership team.
  • Categorize annual spending and analyze trends, make recommendations for future and current spending.
  • Coordinate departmental purchasing activities and provide support to team members​.

  • ​Conduct regular statistical audits of Career & Professional Development programs and services, and maintain year-by-year metrics report.
  • Provide user statistics, evaluations and recommendations toward the improvement of programs and services.
  • Serve, as needed, on teams/committees related to assessment in the office.
  • Coordinate all marketing efforts in collaboration with marketing interns.

  • Manage and organize the help desk in CPD which includes supervising full-time staff and student employees.
  • Participate in routine staff meetings.

Minimum Qualifications
  • ​BA + three (3) years of related experience or seven (7) years of related experience if substituting experience for education requirement.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate intricate job- related processes to internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of a variety of marketing strategies and social media platforms.
  • Self-starter capable of managing multiple competing deadlines.
  • Experience supervising staff members.
Desired Qualifications
  • ​​Understanding of working in a higher education setting and within a college career center.
  • Understanding of First Destination Survey reports and statistics
  • Understanding of Design Software (InDesign, Adobe, Canva, etc.)
Physical / Environmental Qualifications
  • Remain in a stationary position 60% of the time.
  • Ability to prep for and attend meetings and events across campus in various weather conditions.
