Operations Coordinator- Student Life

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Services, responsible for the day-to-day administration of event and building operations for campus event spaces, including the Skutt Student Center and the Mike and Josie Harper Center. This includes engaging in the planning process of events from the beginning through execution of the event. Analyzing operation reports for events; event set-up/tear-down; making last-minute event set-up alterations; discussing equipment operations; conducting routine maintenance and inventory of equipment; and ensuring proper use of equipment; organizing and flexing schedules to complete assignments according to timelines. Provide support in other departmental efforts, such as student staff supervision, departmental inventory, and dining operations.


Qualifications:

Associate's degree and two years of work related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and knowledge of technology, sound systems and multimedia required while working under minimal supervision; knowledge of event scheduling; interpersonal/human relation skills; written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service skills; ability to maintain calendar, schedules, and event files; ability to operate computer and various software packages.
Ability to work various nights and weekends is required.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree and one year of work related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
