Brief Position Overview | The Operations & Equipment Coordinator helps to provide daily oversight and maintenance coordination for all indoor and outdoor facilities related to the department of Campus Recreation and the new Student Wellness Center (SWC), a 185,000 square foot facility slated to open in 2024. The new facility will enhance the integrated and holistic model of student health and wellness at MSU. Functional departments in the Student Wellness Center include Counseling & Psychological Services , Medical Services , Dental Services, Office of Health Advancement and Campus Recreation. Additional facilities of oversight include the Outdoor Recreation Center, and Lambert turf and grass fields. The Coordinator will help the Associate Director of Operations with the development and implementation of policies, maintaining all facility fitness equipment, helping to create standard operating procedures, creating preventive maintenance schedules/tracking systems for Wellness Center equipment, and adhere to risk management and safety practices. This position will continually maintain a collaborative partnership with MSU Facilities & the Office of Sports Facilities. This position will report within Campus Recreation and serve areas within Student Wellness. Campus Recreation encourages personal development, enhances academic productivity, and enriches well-being for students and the MSU Community. Campus Rec is comprised of Fitness Programs, Competitive Sports, Outdoor Recreation, Aquatics, Youth Programs, Activity Classes (ACT), Member Services, Facilities & Operations. |
