The Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University is now accepting applications for a Teaching Professor (rank will be dependent on experience and qualifications – Lecturer/Assistant/Associate/Professor) to teach part-time at the undergraduate level within the Marketing Department. Primary courses to be taught will include marketing classes offered by the department. Examples of some classes are, Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Integrated Marketing Communications, Consulting, Strategic marketing, etc. Additional responsibilities include: participating in department service activities, attending department meetings, participating in college assessment of learning, serving on committees, advising undergraduate students, and other activities that may be necessary.

The successful candidate will be able to deliver course materials through a number of delivery modes (online, hybrid, in-person). The position will start in Fall 2024.

The current teaching assignment is to teach up to four courses for the fall semester. The actual course load will depend on the demand for courses in the semester. Depending on teaching requirements, up to four courses per semester may be offered in future semesters. The contract period may be extended for up to three years, with the possibility of renewal.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

- Masters’ degree in Business or a related field
- Must meet the college’s faculty qualification standards for AACSB Accreditation

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience teaching university level marketing or related courses
- Work experience in the field of marketing or related field of five years or more
