Position Summary
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) Child and Adolescent Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program (CHAAMP) and Center of Excellence in Community Mental Health (CECMH) are seeking candidates for an open-rank, tenure-track position in the Department of Psychiatry. The focus of this role will be mobile and digital health approaches to the assessment and treatment of serious mental health problems, with a particular focus on schizophrenia-spectrum disorders. The candidate will dedicate most of their time to research, specifically pursuing an active program of externally funded research (R-level grants or equivalent) and achieving publication in appropriate scholarly venues. 
The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with existing clinical and research programs across CHAAMP and CECMH on digital health interventions and will also lead the development of new research initiatives in digital mental health more broadly with other relevant research programs in the Department of Psychiatry. The candidate will offer a rich training environment for PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, along with training/supervision of behavioral health trainees (including clinical psychology interns and psychiatry residents). This role may also include lectures to medical students and trainees in psychology, psychiatry, pediatrics, and other specialties. Clinical responsibilities may include assessment and treatment services to individuals in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. (or equivalent) in a relevant field and must be licensed to practice in NC or be license eligible. 
Experience in research of early psychosis and mobile and digital health approaches to the assessment and treatment of mental health problems is required. Evidence of and potential for attracting external funding at R-level or the equivalent is essential. Candidates must have a programmatic line of research as evidenced via scholarship and research productivity referenced on their CV. Prior history of teaching, supervising, or mentoring advanced trainees is required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Preference will be given to applicants who have shown potential for leadership in the field and excellent science communication skills.
