UTHealth Houston Institute for Implementation Science (IIS) at the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health invites applications to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor level. 

 

 We seek an exceptional team member with a desire to help us expand our research and teaching program in implementation science with an overarching focus on health equity and improving health outcomes for underserved populations within Texas, nationally, and internationally.

 

The successful candidate will join an innovative and growing team in the UTHealth Houton Institute for Implementation Science that seeks to forward the field of implementation science across a broad array of domains. They will be affiliated with IIS and their primary department affiliation may be Epidemiology, Behavioral Science, Management, Policy, or Community Health. The successful candidate can choose to be based in any one of the six UTHealth Houston School of Public Health campuses  across Texas (Austin, Brownsville, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, and San Antonio).

 

Position Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Providing educational leadership, including classroom teaching and mentoring to graduate students;

  • Developing research grant applications,

  • Seeking extramural funding, and

  • Creating academic and/or community collaborations to support the research program. 

 


 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

(1) Doctoral degree in health promotion-behavioral science, epidemiology, health economics, health services research, implementation science, or related disciplines;

(2) Track record of research publications commensurate with academic rank and demonstrated potential for securing external funding.
