Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of six health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The School teaches approximately 600 PharmD students and 145 graduate students. The School has built a reputation for its continued pursuit of excellence, rigorous education and training programs, cutting-edge multidisciplinary research, progressive pharmacy practices, efficient business operations, and its outstanding faculty, staff, and students. Position Summary
The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (the School) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting for an open rank teaching track faculty position in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (https://pharmacy.unc.edu/).

This position will work specifically with the Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Team through education, research, and service. The Pharmacy Administration and Leadership educational core is anchored by the MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Health-System Pharmacy Administration MS degree for HSPAL hospital partnership residents and working professionals, with planned expansion into multiple other types of educational offerings. The individual within this position will also be incorporated into the working team for the Doctor of Pharmacy business of healthcare training.
As a teaching track faculty member, the initial distribution of effort will be as follows:
* Teaching: 70%
* Scholarship: 20%
* Service: 10%
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
* PharmD degree
* Master’s degree in a field related to business or administration
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Healthcare related experience in business or administration
* Professional and graduate student teaching experience including course coordination, didactic instruction, small-group facilitation, and/or experiential teaching
* Established scholarship track record within the area of scholarship of education and/or scholarship of application
