Job Summary:

The Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking applicants for a community based Abdominal Imaging/Body Imaging radiologist to join us as an anchor radiologist at Highlands Ranch Hospital. UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital is a community hospital with more than 139 beds in the south suburbs of Denver with a focus on Oncology, Women’s Services, Heart and Vascular, along with other service lines. Denver is consistently ranked one of the most livable cities in America, with four seasons, abundant sunshine and easy access to numerous cultural and recreational activities. We are open to applicants at all experience levels.  

This is a daytime position:

  • No overnight shifts 
  • Approximately 2 evening shifts/month (2-10 pm) 
  • Approximately 7 weekends/year 

Key Responsibilities:

  • As part of the abdominal imaging section covering multiple sites, the successful recruit will be required to participate in all aspects of our clinical practice.
  • Body Imaging of all modality types, including MR, CT, US, and GI/GU fluoroscopy.
  • Participation and collaboration through interdisciplinary conferences is ongoing.
  • Being one of the primary radiologists at our hospital, regular interaction with referring providers within our highly collaborative setting is a standard expectation of the role. 

Work Location:

This position will work primarily at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:  

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.  

This is an open rank position and falls under a clinical associate/community practice model and is categorized as Senior Instructor or Assistant Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below. 

Senior Instructor:

  • MD/DO or equivalent, Colorado medical license by time of hire, ABR certified or eligible, abdominal fellowship training.
  • 0-5 years of experience as an attending

Assistant Professor:

  • MD/DO or equivalent, Colorado medical license by time of hire, ABR certified or eligible, abdominal fellowship training.
  • 6 or more years of experience as an attending

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working and collaborating with multiple clinical specialties 

Required competencies:

  • Interpretation of abdominal radiology imaging studies and procedures
  • Competency in basic radiology procedures

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Senior Instructor: $420,000 - $470,000  

Assistant Professor: $420,000 - $470,000 

This position falls under a productivity-based compensation model. Providers will have the ability to increase their base compensation through a bonus system after meeting baseline productivity benchmarks.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
