Pediatric Nephrologist

UT Health San Antonio, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a fourth full-time faculty Pediatric Nephrologist at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.  Academic rank and tenure status will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.  Qualified candidate must be Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics and Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Nephrology.  Successful candidate will be expected to serve as attending on the Nephrology service and maintain excellent teaching and clinical skills.  Candidates are expected to develop a focused research project in their area of interest. 

The Children’s Kidney Center is located at University Hospital.  The Children’s Kidney Center houses all offices, the renal clinic and an 8-station dialysis unit.  Activities include medical care for 10-15 dialysis patients and transplantation of approximately 15 patients a year.  The Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine has approximately 220 medical students at each level and division faculty are actively engaged in the training of medical students as well as the 46 pediatric residents.
