POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Morsani College of Medicine, University of South Florida is seeking a faculty researcher along with providing general Obstetrics and Gynecology care, including ambulatory care, deliveries, surgery and complete maternal care. This position is OPEN RANK.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • RESEARCH - To do scholarly research involving prospective clinical studies, retrospective chart reviews and literature searches.
  • ADMINISTRATIVE: Oversees research staff; collaborates with other laboratory members on research projects carried out in the laboratory by research fellows and students.
  • TEACHING: Assists in supervision of post-doctoral researchers and graduate students, including training support personnel in lab research techniques.
  • CLINICAL: Provide general Obstetrics and Gynecology care, including ambulatroy care, deliveries and surgery.
  • OTHER DUTIES:  Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities.May represent the university, college/school, or department.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:

  • Doctoral/Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Must have completed Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with an interest in teaching and patient care. Must have or be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
  • Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
  • For Associate or Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other
  • professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.
