Open Rank Instructor to Professor- Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR)

Description

 

• Provide inpatient physiatry care and consultations at the Regional One Medical Center- Memphis TN and affiliated sites
• Provide outpatient follow up as requested by Regional One Medical Center
• Work with APP’s and trainees (medical students, residents, fellows, visiting students, and other allied health professionals) and facilitate interprofessional team care
• Lead a team of medical professionals, which may include physical therapists and occupational therapists, in order to optimize patient care.
• Conduct or participate in research on injuries, diseases, and disabling conditions in order to improve and advance treatments.
• Liaise with community organizations to facilitate program building and awareness of physiatry services
• Actively participate in the building and execution of the inaugural residency program for PMR at UTHSC COM
• Provide resident supervision, education and mentorship as described by the ACGME
• Research is encouraged
• Teaching of residents and students
• Providing physical medicine and rehabilitation services as a MD or DO

Qualifications

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Requires a MD or DO
• Must be licensed or able to be licensed in the State of Tennessee
• Must be board certified or board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)

DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES:

• Must have completed a residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
