POSITION SUMMARY:
The Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking an Open Rank Faculty to provide bioskills and clinical simulation expertise for USF Health CAMLS. This individual will provide leadership to USF Health CAMLS in oversight of the surgical interventional and training center and virtual patient care center   including the management and oversight over simulation operations specialists and clinical simulation manager. The individual will provide expertise in the educational and operational principles of manikin and simulated patient simulation as well as provided expertise in bioskills lab operations and training including cadaver-based education. The Director will also have experience in higher education and oversee the new concentration of simulation-operations in the COPH Health Sciences Major including course instruction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee COPH Concentration in Simulation Operations under the Health Sciences Degree; Teach at least one course under the undergraduate course; provide expertise in simulation operations including moulage, technical trouble shooting, and manikin operations.
Provide leadership, oversight and management of our 16,148 ft sq bioskills-cadaver lab as well as the virtual patient care simulation center. Leadership over the clinical simulation and bioskills team including daily course and/or program preparation, implementation, and quality assurance. Provide expertise in the application of simulation education and operational skills including debriefing, moulage, tissue management, and simulation assessment.
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.  Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. For Associate/Full Professor - Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.

PREFERRED:

Experience in Nursing, Healthcare Education, and Simulation. Experience with USF, USF HPCC, and USF Health CAMLS Policies and Procedures.
