The Duke University Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics invites applications for a career (non-tenure) track faculty position in biostatistics as part of the Duke Cancer Institute (DCI) Biostatistics Shared Resource working with the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center (PRTBTC). The individual in this position will collaborate closely with PRTBTC investigators as part of the research team.  Potential areas of research emphasis include innovative pilot, surgical window of opportunity studies and phase I-III clinical trials designs, analysis of biomarkers, correlative and translational research (pre-clinical studies). Development of major grant applications will be a critical component of this position. The Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics has Masters and PhD programs, as well as opportunities to supervise post-docs and Masters and PhD staff. DCI and PRTBTC have an exceptional history in cancer research, and Durham and the Research Triangle form a vibrant community with an outstanding climate intellectually, culturally, and for year-round physical activity and recreation. 

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field by the date of the start of their appointment. The application package should include a cover letter accompanied by a one-page diversity statement, a curriculum vitae, and a three-page statement of research (organized as one page summary of past research accomplishments and a two-page summary of your future research plans), and 3 letters of recommendation.
