Position Summary
The Department of Health Policy and Management in the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health is currently seeking to fill one or more full-time faculty positions with varying responsibilities in teaching, mentoring, and service in support of the Department’s Bachelor in Health Services Management (BSHSM) and Master of Health Administration (MHA) programs. Candidates with expertise in accounting and finance or medical group practice management are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and experience with in-person and online education. The ideal candidate will also have experience as a practicing healthcare administrator. 
 
The Department seeks applicants for the following positions (please indicate which position is preferred in cover letter):
 
Lecturer
In addition to the above, Lecturer candidates should be prepared to engage in service that supports teaching.
 
Clinical Assistant Professor
In addition to the above, Clinical Assistant Professor candidates should be prepared to engage in service that supports teaching. Also, Clinical Assistant Professor candidates should have a track record of and preparedness to engage in publicly disseminated and peer-reviewed scholarship.
 
In addition to teaching courses in the BSHSM and MHA programs, both the Lecturer and Clinical Assistant Professor will be expected to support the program and students in one or more of the following ways: contributions to program certification/re-accreditation, networking with healthcare organizations to support student recruitment and alumni relations, student coaching and mentoring, and producing scholarly products. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree to be eligible for an appointment as Lecturer and doctoral degree for appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor.
 
In addition to the BSHSM and MHA programs, the Department of Health Policy and Management houses a doctoral program, a Master of Public Health concentration in Health Policy and Management, and a robust research portfolio. Interested candidates will also have opportunities to contribute to these areas.

The Indianapolis campus, known as IU Indianapolis, is the health and life science campus of Indiana University and the focal point of health profession education in the State of Indiana. The Department and School maintain close relationships with many health systems, state and local health departments, the state Medicaid agency, the Indiana Hospital Association, physician groups, and other stakeholders.
