Position Summary:       

YU Global seeks an experienced online pedagogy specialist to improve the educational quality of both existing and newly created courses. This talented educator will ensure that our offerings are pedagogically sound, engaging, and effectively tailored to meet the needs of adult learners seeking workplace skills and professionals pursuing continuing education. The ideal candidate will bring experience in online education, a deep understanding of adult learning principles, proficiency with instructional design applications and platforms, a passion for creating transformative learning experiences, and the drive to support adults through interactive online learning experiences. 

Position Responsibilities:


Key Responsibilities:    

  • Online Pedagogy: Work with YU Global’s Course Development Manager and course constructors to improve the learning experience in both existing and new courses by recommending strategies and technologies to enhance learner engagement and improve learning outcomes. Stay informed of emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in online education and implement innovations to enhance the learning experience and outcomes. Analyze feedback from learners and faculty to inform continuous improvement of course design and delivery. 
  • Instructional Design: Assist with design improvement of existing course modules and the creation of pedagogically sound design elements including activities, knowledge checks, and assignments. 
  • Video Production: Creation of engaging and culturally sensitive videos that are consistent with best practices of online pedagogy. 
  • Course Facilitation: Serve as facilitator for a number of YU Global online courses. 
  • Learner Support Specialist:Provide compassionate and effective support to learners experiencing challenges that lie beyond the capabilities of the course facilitator. 

Experience & Educational Background:


  • Master’s degree or higher in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in online education, specifically in designing and evaluating online courses for adult and continuing education. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theories, distance learning pedagogies, and educational technology integration. 
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional design platforms (especially the Articulate 360 suite). 
  • Experience providing support to adult learners in an online educational setting.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess educational content and pedagogy critically. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Creative and proactive problem-solver 

Salary Range:

$70,000-$75,000
