Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Olympic Sports Equipment Manager - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the overall operation of the athletics equipment room which involves the ordering, tracking, and receiving of equipment and apparel for all Olympic Sports.

  • Checks equipment out to athletes at the beginning of the year and receives the equipment back from the athletes at the conclusion of the year.

  • Maintains a running inventory of the items distributed to and collected from each athlete and coach.

  • Maintains and reconditions all equipment for their respective sports.

  • Ensures that all athletes have their necessary apparel and equipment for practices, home competitions, and away competitions.

  • Collects, cleans, and redistributes laundry for each of their teams.

  • Understands and follows the rules and regulations of the NCAA, Conference USA and University Policies and Procedures.

  • Focus on Olympic Sports, oversees everyday aspects of the equipment room including the supervision of staff members and interns.

  • Supervise the staff in the equipment room, including full-time employees, student managers, volunteers, and intern.

  • Ordering, sizing, issuing, and overseeing all Olympic Sport needs as well as overseeing the ordering.

  • Direct, plan, organize and implement the equipment room functions.

  • Oversee, facilitate, and maintain the department's relationship/contract with Adidas.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.

Salary:

$35,705.00 - $50,000.00 per year.
