Job Description:
A member of the Ohio Union Events team, the Operations Coordinator serves to further the departments goal of providing exemplary customer service for client event needs. This positions primary focus in on student development and management, event coordination and facility operations; collaborates with the Senior Operations Coordinator and student staff to manage the day-to-day operations of the Ohio Union; execute a large number of events at the highest quality; develop and maintain strong working knowledge of EMS, the computer reservation and scheduling system; continually work to improve the quality of operations and services provided; will work evening and weekend hours, as determined by event needs.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in hospitality, business, sales, marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience in operations and/or event planning and execution; 3 years if relevant experience; flexibility in schedule, including weekends and evenings in conjunction with scheduled events; experience in event planning and administration.

Desired Qualifications:

Masters degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs or related field; large scale university event planning experience; 4-8 years of relevant experience; experience working with and/or supervising student staff; familiarity with floor/surface cleaning equipment; excellent attention to detail and follow through skills.


Additional Information:

The pay range for this position is $19.52-$22.50.
