Office Supervisor
Job Description
The Arizona State University Alumni Association is seeking an Office Supervisor to oversee a variety of administrative support functions for the department. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have high attention to detail, and have exceptional organizational skills. This position supports a fast-paced, highly active team and a variety of events and programs engaging ASU alumni in Arizona and around the globe.

Salary Range
$50,000 - $53,500 per year; DOE
Essential Duties
- Assists the Vice President and Assistant Vice President of the Association
- Answers phones, greets visitors and directs questions to appropriate staff
- Assists with coordinating events, including registration, arranging for equipment and catering
- Supervises, monitors, and coordinates activities of student workers
- Supervises Office Specialist/Receptionist
- Oversees operation of the Alumni front desk
- Assists with the onboarding of student workers and new staff
- Serves as financial liaison for Alumni chapters
- Manages annual scholarship application updates and downloads committee reviews
- Administers office travel paperwork
- Oversees distribution/mailing of materials to Alumni Association constituencies
- Professionally handles multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency
Minimum Qualifications
Six years of office/clerical experience, which includes two years of lead experience; OR, Associate's degree in Office Administration, Business Administration or a related field AND four years of clerical/administrative experience which includes two years of lead experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

- Knowledge of standard practices in area of assignment.
- Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices and techniques.
- Evidence of effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
- Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
- May require driving a vehicle and/or cart to various on/off campus event sites.
