Provides clerical and administrative support to the Mathematics and Statistics Department and coordinates a variety of office functions. Serves as a point of contact for the Math Faculty. Provides a high level of customer service to customers and ensures inquiries are addressed and resolved. Organizes and maintains records for the department. Assists with course scheduling, room requests, and processes class permissions and overrides. Works closely with the Graduate Program Director.

  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the department. Provides customer service support by answering calls and inquiries. Assists in providing training to other office personnel.
  • Enters and maintain Math Courses in the system. Enters and Submits Text Book Adoptions for Math Courses.
  • Creates Travel Authorization Requests (TAR) and Expense Reports in the system.
  • Process Copy Requests for Faculty and Adjunct Instructors Prepares office hours schedule for faculty each semester.
  • Assists Graduate Program Director with Requests for Graduate and PhD Students
  • Reconciles Expenses on credit card expenses.
  • Creates and updates Office Hours information for all Faculty and Adjunct Instructors.
  • Assists with Class Permissions for Mathematics / Statistics Department.
  • Maintains Inventory and orders office supplies for the department.
  • Receives, screens, and distributes the department mail to the appropriate person and/or area.
  • Serves as backup to other office staff members when needed.
  • Files and Maintains Math Instructional Packages
  • Maintains Department's Bulletin News and Information.
  • Serves as the University's credit card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University credit card policies and procedures.

 

High school diploma or GED and four (4) years office or related experience providing administrative support, or coordinating functions of an office or department; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience working in Higher Education.
