Job Summary
 

The Office of Inclusive Excellence Coordinator will provide assistance in the planning and implementation of initiatives and programs out of the Office of Inclusive Excellence. The Coordinator is responsible for major programming (i.e. MLK Celebration, IE Week, First-Gen Celebration, etc.) and the management of resource groups. A central part of this role will be to design and implement inclusive excellence professional development opportunities in collaboration with key campus stakeholders. In addition, the Coordinator supports the Director by working across the AVP's portfolio to enhance synergy on institutional projects, initiatives, and planning.


Responsibilities
 
  • Collaborate across the organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and inclusive excellence portfolio, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to drive organizational success 
  • Create, implement, and assess the Office's opportunities for employee professional development in collaboration with campus partners 
  • Organize events, programs, campus meetings, activities, and travel, as assigned by the Director 
  • Provide support for resource groups and develop innovative ways to increase employee engagement 
  • Lead projects from inception to implementation on behalf of the Office. 
  • Develop, implement, and assess campus-wide programming initiatives to include cultural awareness, cross-cultural learning, and celebrations 
  • Advise colleagues on inclusive excellence best practices as they pertain to the recruitment, retention, and success of faculty, staff, and students with diverse backgrounds, beliefs, experiences, and perspectives 
  • Provide administrative oversight and management of the operations of the Office 
  • May supervise, directly or indirectly, graduate assistants, student workers, practicum students, and/or interns

Required Qualifications
 

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of related work experience which could include professional work experience, graduate assistantship experience, and/or appropriate collegiate experience
  • Presentation or facilitation experience

Preferred Qualifications
 

Preferred Educational Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

Preferred Experience

  • One (1) to three (3) years of related work experience in diversity education and program management
  • Experience in community development
  • Experience working with mid-level administrators and confidential information

Proposed Salary
 

$17.55 - $21.97 per hour.

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis
