The University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC) has an exciting opportunity for an Office Manager to provide administrative and procedural support to the UMGCCC and its administrative officers and program managers by organizing, collecting, analyzing and presenting information related to the current and future programs/project workload.

Primary Duties

The new position will report to the UMGCCC Deputy Director who is responsible for all recruitment activities within UMGCCC. In addition to standard duties for this position, the candidate will be primarily responsible for:

  • Function as the central point of contact for all candidates & applicants with regard to travel and schedules.
  • Setting up visit schedules for candidates including scheduling travel, hotel stays, one to two-day interviews, dinners and scientific talks for each candidate, including second interviews when required.
  • Be primarily responsible for building and scheduling candidate interview itineraries and working with other administrative staff to coordinate each visit and interview schedule.
  • Be central point of contact & hold primary responsibility for UMB Concur travel arrangements for all candidates.
  • Managing a shared folder with all CV’s and applications.
  • Maintaining an organized Excel list of applicant’s qualifications and consideration status.
  • Setting up Zoom meetings for MD & PhD recruitment committees on a regular basis. Support recruitment committees as applicants are dispositioned.
  • Coordinate with other (departments, schools, campuses) administrative staff supporting the process to ensure efficiencies and a seamless schedule of interviews, visits, events and travel for candidates.
  • Be responsible for collecting SOM mandated demographic information and DEI coordination.
 

Qualifications

  

Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in administrative or business operations work.  
Other: Related experience may be substituted for education.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of organizational practices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.


The Hiring Range for this position is in the mid $60,000s to low $70,000s, commensurate with education and experience.
