Description of Work Unit | The Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML) is a research, education and service unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at CSU. CEMML applies the latest and most appropriate science to promote the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense (DOD) and other public lands. We provide technical support, conduct applied research, and offer career development and learning opportunities to support resource stewardship. We collaborate with our sponsors and within CSU to resolve complex environmental issues, leaving a legacy of science-based decisions that sustain our resources for future generations. Position Summary | The office manager is a full-time position reporting directly to the Executive Director of CEMML. This position provides executive-level administrative support to the Executive Director, Associate Director, and Assistant Director in fulfilling administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to:
A successful candidate must be able to work independently under limited supervision, resolve problems and issues escalated from other areas of the department, be able to interpret and explain policies and decisions to multiple constituencies, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. A successful candidate will excel at tracking dates and action items, taking detailed notes, organizing project details, providing on-site and remote support, and following up as needed with internal and external partners.
