Job Description

The Office & HR Assistant will be responsible for assisting with business and HR operations for the Academy of Transdisciplinary Studies (ATS) and the Dean's office within the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences (CLAHS). Primary role and accountabilities in the following areas: Budget Management, Purchasing, Records Management, Equipment Purchases, Travel Expense Reporting and general HR activities.


Required Qualifications


  • Knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping principles, methods and practices
  • Knowledge of general human resources policies and practices
  • Experience in providing fiscal and HR support in a professional office environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, database, etc
  • Ability to apply policies and procedures to ensure compliance with business protocols
  • Strong communication and superior interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated work with confidential documents and situations

Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of University and State accounting policies and procedures
  • Experience in higher education, particularly an academic unit
  • Working with E&G funds and foundation or private funding
  • Experience with banner finance, banner HR, Hokiemart, Chrome River, and Timeclock Plus

Salary Information

$20/ hour
