Description of Work
The BPAC Business Center at the University of Nebraska Lincoln provides administrative support to the Department of Physics and Astronomy. The Office Associate position is responsible for assisting with oversight of administrative, and operational activities for the department. Assists with supporting the administrative duties of the chair’s office: maintains calendars, arranges meetings, and organizes ongoing projects. Assists with plans and administers departmental events. Assists with designs and manages content for websites, highlighting department activities and oversees social media. Is a liaison with the Dean’s Office staff. Liaison to the College Marketing and Communications Team. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree plus two (2) years’ experience in an office/clerical position required; equivalent education/experience considered. Must be proficient with word processing, database and spreadsheet software programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant coursework, or specialized training beyond high school is preferred. Experience with large integrated financial management systems (i.e. SAP) preferred. Knowledge about academic environment helpful.
