Description of Work | Provide administrative support for The Center for Grassland Studies and the Center for Resilience in Agricultural Working Landscapes. Serve as first line of contact for visitors. Receive phone calls and assess urgency and confidentiality. Process expenses and maintain center staff and faculty calendars and daily schedules. Draft correspondence and prepare reports and other materials. Assist with marketing and branding by fostering and maintaining a social media presence and managing website content. Minimum Required Qualifications | Associate’s degree plus two years of relevant administrative support experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Working knowledge of general office practices, procedures and equipment required. Word processing and presentation software essential. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; and internet research skills necessary. |
Preferred Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree. Team oriented, highly organized, detail oriented, and accurate; ability to anticipate needs, identify potential problems, and be solution oriented; ability to recognize impact of decisions; and ability to multi-task in a busy, multi-deadline office environment. Experience with spreadsheets and preparing and editing websites, presentations, scripts, displays, and other written materials. |
