Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Office Assistant - Boca Raton, Florida.

Summary of Responsibilities: *** UPDATED ***

  • Creating doodle polls for scheduling meetings and sending meeting invites to attendees.

  • Overseeing clerical tasks, such as sorting and sending mail.

  • Assisting in keeping an inventory of office supplies and ordering materials as needed.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of records and of student’s personal information at all times.

  • Assisting in maintaining office files.

  • Maintaining promotional items inventory.

  • Answering phone calls, taking, and delivering messages.

  • Utilizing general office equipment (computer, phones, copier, fax, etc.).

  • Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.

  • Participating in activities, coordinate, and contribute to projects from conception through implementation.

  • Providing data entry and retrieving information from databases; verifying the completeness and accuracy of the submitted information.

  • Manages Scheduling for and maintaining records of tutoring/supplemental instruction at the college. ***

  • Answers phone calls and responding to inquiries regarding the College of Nursing programs. ***

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of appropriate experience required.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Ability to maintain confidentiality and a positive attitude at all times.
Able to work independently and effectively.
Flexibility and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Good interpersonal and excellent communication and listening skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Good organizational and prioritization skills.

Salary:

$15.00 per hour.
