Scope of Job | To perform clerical duties for a department. Responsible for the performance of clerical, typing and data entry duties. |
Description of Duties | • Performs clerical duties requiring some discretion and/or independent judgment. • Maintains office supply inventory. • Performs data entry, deletion and updates • Engages in various records keeping, posting, filing and sorting of departmental records. • Prepares departmental reports. • Determines work priority. • Opens mail, sorts and routes correspondence or forms. • Issues equipment, records, receipts or supplies. • Assists with and collects data and prepares material for periodic reports, surveys or publications. • Replaces senior clerical personnel on vacation or temporary leave. • Acts a receptionist answering routine questions and referring more complex inquiries to appropriate administrators. • May perform other duties as assigned. |

Required Education | High school diploma or GED. |

Equipment | Knowledge of use of personal computer, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Standard office equipment. |
Working Conditions | Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office environment. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. |
