Job Description Summary:
Office Assistant, GW School of Business
The Office Assistant will serve as the primary “face of the office” for the Office of the Dean at the School of Business. This includes answering and returning phone calls and emails, along with greeting in-person visitors and creating a welcoming environment. A cheerful personality and a commitment to customer service are vital for this position. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Operations, the Office Assistant will:
  • Provide administrative and scheduling support for the Office of the Dean to include virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Take meeting minutes as needed.
  • Support and assist with meeting logistics and events.
  • Direct inquiries to appropriate departments/department leaders.
  • Maintain stock of office supplies: place orders as needed.
  • Retrieve and sort mail received: accept and send out packages.
  • Process expense reports and requisitions as needed.
  • Assist with additional duties as needed.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Gmail.
