Office Assistant for Nisonger Center's Childcare Program

Responsible for coordinating and executing the administrative activities of an office including, preparing outgoing correspondence, keeping an inventory of supplies and ordering materials and equipment as needed. May submits facility requests and act as first point of contact for facility issues.

Responsible for updating and maintaining files for children to meet licensing requirements. Serving as the customer service representative at the front desk. Directs and helps in requests made at the front desk to serve families enrolled in our program including generating reports and documentation upon request. Answers the office phone and directs phone calls to intended personnel. Will fulfill other tasks as determined by the program.

As needed and under the direction of the Center's Director, will serve as a support educator in an integrated classroom environment for children with and without developmental delays.

Requirements Six mos. experience (600 hrs course work) in office practices and procedures, including customer service/public relations; 3 mos. experience (300 hrs training) operating basic office machines and equipment (e.g., computer related and peripheral equipment, copy machines, typewriters, calculators). Requires successful completion of a background check; selected candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
