Position Qualification


Position Summary

The College of Allied Health Professions (CAHP) at the University of Nebraska, is seeking applicants for a full-time, 12-month faculty position in the Occupational Therapy Program at either the Omaha or Keaney, Nebraska campus.
This position provides teaching and clinical education support to students on both CAHP campuses.

Assist in clinical skills, research, management and administration policies. Evaluations and student experiences focused on clinical reasoning as a medical provider.

Assist in clinical site recruiting.

Assist in clinical phase student evaluation.

Engage in research in area of clinical/educational expertise.

Required Qualifications

•• Hold a doctoral degree from an institution accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body. (For degrees from institutions in countries other than the United States, ACOTE will determine an alternative and equivalent external review process.)
• Prior experience designing significant learning experiences and assessing outcomes
• Documented expertise in content area of teaching responsibility
• Knowledge of content delivery methods, including distance delivery
• Demonstrated professional leadership (local, regional or national)
• Strong community networking skills and team collaboration
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license

Supplemental Qualifications

• The well qualified applicant will hold a clinical or academic Doctoral degree,
Be an occupational therapist with NBCOT certification
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Nebraska
• Minimum of 5 years occupation-centered practice
• Experience as an academic educator
• A terminal academic degree (PhD, EdD, ScD, etc.)
• Post-doctoral training
• Clear research agenda with history of scholarly achievement
