The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville seeks two (2) part-time Hospitalists. Candidates must:
Malpractice will be paid; however other benefits may not be available. The department is composed of 25 faculty members and is based at the UF Health Science Center in Jacksonville, which is located on the easily accessible north part of downtown in Jacksonville, Florida. The UF Health Jacksonville hospital averages 3000-3500 deliveries a year and has a level 3 NICU staffed by UF neonatologists. The Department also employs full time faculty in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Minimally Invasive Surgery, which are available during overnight hours. The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is the largest of the three colleges at the Health Science Center Jacksonville. The college is affiliated with UF Health in Jacksonville, a health system comprised of two hospitals — the 603-bed UF Health Jacksonville and 92-bed UF Health North — and more than 60 primary and specialty care practices throughout Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. With more than 6,200 faculty and staff, UF Health in Jacksonville is the largest UF campus outside of Gainesville. Minimum Requirements: |
Candidates should have a MD/DO and be BE/BC in Obstetrics & Genecology. In addition, they must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical license. |
