An OASIS Coach provides telehealth and/or in-person training to parents of children with high support needs. The OASIS Parent Training curriculum is a manualized training program designed to teach caregivers the knowledge and skills they need to be a contributing member to their child’s learning and development. As an OASIS Coach, you would be responsible for recruitment, coordination, facilitation, and support for a full-time caseload of families and caregivers.

Condition of Employment

The ability to obtain University of Kansas Health System designated credentialing within the first 4 months of employment. To accomplish this the University of Kansas Health System must receive proof from your prior employer(s) verifying previous employment, dates of employment and eligibility for rehire AND you must be able to pass criminal background checks.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, behavior analysis, psychology, language, or related field.

Work Experience:

  • Experience working with families in home and/or community-based settings.

  • Experience collaborating with families and children with disabilities.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and conducting trainings

Preferred Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in early childhood education, behavior analysis, psychology, language, or related field. ​

  • Board Certified Behavior Specialist (BCBA) certified.

Work Experience:

  • 2 years supervised work experience with children using the principles of applied behavior analysis.

  • 1 year of experience working with children with autism, preferably conducting interventions or research with children with autism.

Skills:

  • Strong independent organizational skills

  • Demonstrated socially appropriate behaviors that facilitate successful community/family integration

  • Strong written and oral communication skills as evidenced in work history.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills as evidenced in work history.


Job Duties Outlined:

  • Recruiting caregivers and families to participate in OASIS Parent Training.

  • Maintain tracking data for families and caregivers on the waitlist to receive services.

  • Print/bind/mail training materials to registered patients.

  • Consistently communicate with families and caregivers on the waitlist, providing technical support, coaching, and updates as needed.

  • Responsible for scheduling and planning training of caseload for weekly live sessions.

  • Maintain and keep all equipment needed for telehealth sessions updated and functional.

  • Uphold the code of ethics of the American Psychological Association and/or the BACB.

  • Preparing training and teaching materials for live and face-to-face training sessions.

  • Process enrollment of families/caregivers using MoodleCloud Learning Management System and REDCap.

  • Deliver OASIS Parent Training to a full caseload of patients via telehealth services or face-to-face.

  • Monitor online tutorial and quiz progress of patient and interpret patient recorded data to discuss during live sessions.

  • Demonstrates proficiency and meets fidelity standards outlined in OASIS Parent Training.

  • Maintain data reporting standards and update data reporting through the recording instruments.

  • Facilitation of quarterly 3-day trainings (some travel may be required).

  • Attend regular grant/team meetings.

  • Complete administrative tasks as needed such as supply orders, responding to email/phone inquiries, printing and binding training materials and more.

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
