Position Title Nutrition Faculty, Integrative Nutrition/RD Program Director
Position Summary
The College of Health Science at California Baptist University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to teach nutrition and food science, and serve as Program Director of a new MS Integrative Nutrition/RD program. Candidates must embrace the mission of California Baptist University and evidence a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service through the integration of the Christian faith and learning. The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty in the College of Health Science and Department of Public Health Sciences. Starting date: August 12, 2024.
Pay Range
The compensation for this appointment will range from $80,000-$90,000 annually and reflects what California Baptist University reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to wages, CBU offers a robust suite of employee benefits.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants should have a terminal degree in nutrition or closely related field, current RDN credential, and a minimum of three years working as an RD. Practical experience and research interests in nutrition, dietetics, or food science is desired, as is experience in program development, academic and professional leadership, and previous teaching in a graduate program.
Teaching Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a member of a team of faculty with undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities in undergraduate and graduate nutrition programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellent teaching and be expected to maintain an active program of scholarship and service. The successful candidate will demonstrate willingness and ability to integrate Christian faith in the classroom.
