Brief Position Overview | Montana State University Extension, through a partnership with and funding from the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), serves individuals and families with low- income, the primary audiences being parents and caregivers with the responsibility of feeding young children, youth, and pregnant teens or young adults who may become parents. The EFNEP Extension Nutrition Educator’s main function is to partner and collaborate with local agencies, schools, and organizations to implement the EFNEP program in Missoula County. The Extension Educator will teach youth and adults about nutrition, physical activity, food resource management, and food safety, using a series of approved lessons. Position specific training and orientation will be provided to the successful candidate to prepare them to carry out job responsibilities in the communities served. |

Position Special Requirements/Additional Information | The person in this position must be willing to travel for the annual program conference and training. Must possess currently or be eligible to obtain a valid State of Montana Driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record (less than 12 points), or have other reliable means of transportation. Must have access to a vehicle to use for work (mileage will be reimbursed), and have minimum vehicle liability insurance. Do NOT send a copy of the driver’s license.
