Nursing Supervisor, OHS

Supervise and coordinate patient care and surveillance activities for EOH to ensure that services for departments and entities are carried out according to policies and procedures; plan and monitor staffing of nurses at occupational health clinics, hospital and other settings. Supervise EOH nursing staff including, but not limited to, recruitment, hiring, merit recommendations, promotions, transfers, vacation schedules, disciplinary action, performance evaluation, orientation, training and development. Contribute to performance reviews of staff providing services in EOH clinic while reporting directly to another supervisor.  Coordinate EOH Quality Improvement (QI) activities including routine monthly chart and consulting project reviews, special studies and other investigations identified by the QI committee; maintain QI records and documentation according to policies and procedures of the division, department and Medical Center.

Team leader and mentor for occupational health clinical staff in the delivery of occupational health care. Assess/coach and evaluate staff level of practice. Develop programs that foster continued clinical development from novice to expert to positively impact on patient care and career satisfaction of staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Work requires graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing. State of North Carolina license is also required.

Experience

Work requires four years of nursing experience. Prefer at least two setting. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE. years in Occupational Health Nursing or equivalent to acquire experience in general personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and consultation and program development in an industrial A master's degree in a related field, such as occupational health nursing or health administration, may be substituted for experience on a 1:1 basis.
