You will be responsible for student placements and accuracy of student clinical requirements for the Nursing program. Oversees, supervises students assigned to clinical sites, makes phone or on site visits, mediates student-related conflicts, establishes specific learning objectives, and monitors student assignments to ensure that the experience is adequate and achieves a satisfactory level of performance.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining annual clinical requests for student clinical placements with identified facilities and clinical consortia, e.g. CCPS. Requests clinical placements, online, email, telephone, and manually, and confirms. 
  • Plans, coordinates, and manages students assigned to clinical facilities. 
  • Ensures documentation (i.e., student/faculty profiles) is accurate prior to sending to clinical partner. 
  • Delivers student/faculty clinical requirements to the site via their desired modality (email, in-person). 
  • Responsible for the input and maintenance of the clinical scheduling software program (e.g. CORE) for student requirements and scheduling. 

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education or administration required.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Current CPR card.
  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License preferred.

Experience & Skills

  • Leadership knowledge in the program field to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.
  • Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services.
  • Knowledge and evidence of strong supervisory and management skills as applicable to specialized program area.
  • Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) or other nursing accrediting agencies, WSCUC, and other accreditation standards.

Program specific requirements:

  • Knowledgeable of medical community and established relationships with its professional members preferred.
  • A minimum of one year prior experience working with or in clinical sites, placing students, and coordinating related documents preferred.
